There are basically two types of solar PV systems: stand alone (off-grid) and grid connected (On-grid).

Stand-alone solar PV systems work with batteries. The solar energy is stored in the battery and used to feed building loads after conversion from DC to AC power with a stand-alone inverter. These systems are generally used in remote areas without grid supply or with unreliable grid supply. The disadvantage of these systems is that the batteries require replacement once in every 3 – 5 years.

Grid-connected solar PV systems feed solar energy directly into the building loads without battery storage. Surplus energy, if any, is exported to the DISCOM grid and shortfall, if any, is imported from the grid.

The Grid tied Solar Power Plants without battery may be installed for any office buildings. As the office buildings have day time energy consumption, Solar System without battery is suggested, as the battery is the weak link in the system and requires regular maintenance as well as replacement in every 3-5 years. Also the efficiency of the battery based system is less due to loss in the battery (around 15%).

Solar Net metering
In net metering the solar energy exported to the grid is deducted from the energy imported from the grid subject to certain conditions. The consumer pays for the net energy imported from the grid. To enable net metering DISCOM will replace the existing service connection meter with a bidirectional meter that displays the import and export energy separately.

Solar water heating is now a mature technology. The two different solar technologies common for water heating are Flat Plate Collector (FPC) and Evacuated Tube Collector (ETC). The ETC based systems have become popular during the last few years. It is necessary to have solar water heating system with the right technology, features and capacity to ensure a long term reliable and smooth operation of the system as per the guideline of the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy, New Delhi.

A solar water heater consists of a collector to collect solar energy and an insulated storage tank to store hot water.

Wide spread utilization of solar water heaters can reduce a significant portion of the conventional energy being used for heating water in homes, factories and other commercial and institutional establishments.

We offer solar water heaters of different capacities with MNRE specifications and BIS standards for Residential and Industrial applications.

Benefits of Solar Heater Compared to Electrical Heater:

A 100 liters capacity Solar Water Heater can replace an electric geyser for residential use and saves 1500 units of electricity annually. A Solar Water Heater of 100 liters capacity can prevent emission of 1.5 tons of carbon dioxide per year.

Due to lack of grid-connected electricity in many parts of the country, a large number of diesel pump sets are being used for the purpose of irrigation. The operating cost of diesel pump sets is increasing day by day. The Solar Photovoltaic Water Pumping Systems can easily meet the irrigation requirements of land holdings for small and marginal farmers.

Solar panel array of suitable capacity could be installed on a bore well, open well, water reservoir or water stream with any existing motor or new motor pump set from 1 HP to 15 HP up to 1000 feet Depth.

Solar home lighting system (SHS)

provides a comfortable level of illumination in one or more rooms of a house. The Solar Home lighting system consists of a Solar panel, control electronics, battery, and luminaire(s).

Stand alone solar photovoltaic street lighting system (SLS)

is an outdoor lighting unit used for illuminating a street or an open area. The Solar Street Lighting System consists of solar PV module, a luminaire, storage battery, control electronics, inter-connecting wires/cables, module mounting pole including hardware and battery box. Electricity generated by the PV module charges the battery during the day time which powers the luminaire from dusk to dawn. The system lights at dusk and switches off at dawn automatically. /p> solar-street-lighting-system-Freesun-Energy

Solar mounting solutions for Rooftop and ground mounting systems manufactured from GI sheets and sections with Fixed tilt, Single axis and Dual axis tracking.

Our Solar Mounting Structures are designed and engineered for each customers site specific conditions to minimize the field installation labor and require no field welding, drilling or other on-site fabrication.

Energy audit is a technique used to establish pattern of energy use; identify how and where losses are occurring; and suggest appropriate economically viable engineering solutions to enhance energy efficiency in the system studied.

Energy Audit will help to understand more about the ways energy and fuel are used in any industry, and help in identifying the areas where waste can occur and where scope for improvement exists.

Areas:

Electrical Energy systems - Motors, Pumps, Compressors, HVAC, Fans & Blowers, DG system, Lighting, Transformer, Cabling, Thermal Energy systems - Boilers, Steam systems, Furnaces, Heat Exchangers, Insulation and Refractory, Cogeneration, Waste Heat Recovery

Beneficiaries:

  • Industrial users having sanctioned load > 250kva
  • Commercial establishments having sanctioned load > 50kva
  • Any Establishment spending > Rs 100 lacs/year on Energy [Fuel + Power]
